There is Hope through People like You!
On October 14, 2006, Bob and Angela Kott celebrated the arrival of their son, Trevor. On October 15, 2006, the day after he was born, little Trevor was diagnosed with congenital acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
Although he was initially sent home with no hope, Trevor bravely recovered from his fifth round of chemotherapy – and while Trevor was clinically in remission after the first round, he experienced a relapse – a return of the cancer after the third round of chemotherapy – confirmed by a bone marrow test on March 5, 2007. The fifth round of chemotherapy did not work, forcing him into an experimental sixth round just to keep the cancer from taking over his body. Unfortunately, a bone marrow aspirate done April 3, 2007 revealed that his marrow contained 70 percent cancer cells. Ultimately,, the sixth round drugs did not help and Trevor lost his battle with leukemia at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007.

In honor of Trevor, would you consider registering as a marrow donor for another family dealing with leukemia?
It’s very easy. All that is required to register is a simple swab from inside your mouth. No needles are involved. Will you take this simple first step to possibly save a life? Please think about what a huge blessing it would be to the Kott family or any other family with a child suffering from leukemia to have a friend (or stranger) provide such a wonderful gift.
You can register as a bone marrow donor at your local blood bank (you don’t need to give blood). To find the nearest location anywhere in the country. To find a local blood bank in Sacramento, CA.
Alternatively, you can go through the National Marrow Donor Program and register:
Please pick up the phone, go to your local blood center, or visit the National Marrow Donor Program web site today!
On behalf of the Kott family and all leukemia patients -- Thank you for registering – and thank you for your prayers. Please pass on this site: www.trevorkott.com to your friends and family!
